Unruly Dog

Unruly Dog

You may notice my recent posts have been more on the silly side than the deep side. I have been feeling pretty good lately, and thus I prefer to simply draw a comic without a some big profound message about mental health. So buckle up for some more poop jokes!!

I drew this comic back in July of 2025, it was inspired by a conversation I had with my neighbour Marianne.

Let’s just say that Marianne are not only friends and neighbours, but have some very common ground to discuss; in that our dogs both have ‘sensitive’ tummies but do not regulate that crazy shit they eat when we are not looking.

Case in point, my dog was referred to as a “Furry Rumba” at a house party. She sucked down copious Cheetos, shrimp tails, random crumbs, an entire cup of cheerios taken from a toddler, and all kinds of other ‘food’ that has made it’s way to 6 inches or less from the ground.

Given this delightful attribute, our dogs are also victims of ‘adventures in diarrhea’ on a somewhat regular basis.

We commiserated on just how fun it is to be walking through the neighbourhood when said dog decides now is the perfect time to drop a load of liquid excrement (sometimes with exceptional force and sound behind it)for all the world to bear witness. The crazy thing is, we live in a pretty quiet hood. I will often walk the dog and maybe see one other person.

However, part of the fun in “diarrhea adventures” is that they are best shared when several people are around. Then and ONLY then.

I’m sure there are many dog owners among my readership who can relate. If you are not a dog owner, and you see someone struggling to pick up liquid poo, cut them a bit of slack. You should be honoured, as it was very likely your presence that enticed the dog to release said poo for you to behold!

For those of you who prefer my deeper work, the next installment will not feature stories about human or dog shit.

Thanks for reading!
